The more I settle into these songs the more I like them. She crafted a really wonderful album.

 

Just saw her in Philly, amazing show. Really glad I finally got to see her. The new songs sounded great live.

 

Holy duck I’m sitting in my apartment, with a red hue from the light and a candle defusing through the room, and a window open just a crack so I can hear the patter of the rainfall outside.

What an incredible vocal performance on Televangelist

 

This originally was an homage to another artist but this tattoo has morphed into a JB tattoo as well, so I somehow unintentionally killed two birds with one stone, despite this tattoo being quite old. I love the flower imagery in TOTL and JB's music is a constant reminder to me that while your heart may be heavy, your feelings are valid and good things can grow from rough places. I will likely get some lyrics and get it colored in eventually, but I just felt like sharing. This little tattoo has taken on a new meaning the past few weeks and I'm loving the unconventional progression.

For real though this album is amazing and I can’t wait to see her in December.

 

she was fantastic in philly last night. I wish I had more time with the album before she played - didn't even realize she was playing "Claws in Your Back" until the end of the song, but it was still such a great show.

 

Introduced my best friend to this album. He recently left a relatively traditional church to live his life as an open gay man because he hit a point where he didn't want to suppress who he was anymore and deal with the weight of it all. He just recently had his first serious adult relationship end as well. He's a huge music fan and he told me on first listen this album is AOTY for him, he just laid in bed soaking it all in. Having never listened to her before, he really hopes she adds some Florida dates so we can see her perform these live

So I love this.

Someone several pages back mentioned how they noticed the ends of two songs on the album and how they compared/contrasted or something along those lines. Before I go digging, could said user (or someone who remembers) remind me of which songs those were? Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I'm in the process of writing/sending out cover letters and resumés right now, hence the seemingly superficial niceness of this post I noticed just after posting it. Haha.

I believe that is referring to the closers on Sprained Ankle and TOTL. “God I wanna go home,” in Go Home versus, “I wanted to stay,” in Claws In Your Back.

Love 'Happy To Be Here' - probably my favourite song of the year. Not even out a week and it's my most played track in the past 30 days, on Last FM. Also didn't realise how much I was spinning the new Front Bottoms.

 

No shade, but how is your most played track of the last 30 days only 6 plays?

haha, i just went and checked and my top played track in the last 30 days has 54 scrobbles.

 

Haha, no worries.

If I'm listening to Apple Music on my Apple TV, it doesn't scrobble. Same if I'm listening to Spotify via the PS4. So it's only really Spotify on my iPhone that consistently Scrobbles (Apple Music and the QuietScrob App are fairly hit and miss).

Although, even if I scrobbled all the missing ones, probably wouldn't be much higher than 6.

 

Mine has 11. Guess I am either always busy or I listen to too many different albums

 

to be fair i literally sit at work with headphones on for 8 hours a day.

 

Yeah I listen to music every day on my way to work and on my way back - occasionally at work. Then some evenings if I'm not doing something with my fiancee. However, I try to listen to as much as possible, so not a ton of repeats.

 

Ah - if I could, I would. I imagine that would make for an increase for sure!
