It’s incredible how she keeps finding new ways for songs to climax with so few tools.

 

This trumps Spained Ankle in nearly every way imo

Wow. Well I'll start by saying that I didn't cry. This is certainly bigger than Sprained Ankle in pretty much every way. No song on this hit me as hard on first listen as a lot of those on SA though. That being said this is truly wonderful. So happy for and thankful for her.

 

I let out an audible squeal when Track 1 transitioned into Track 2.

 

Over might even be the most beautiful song on this thing. Almost wish it was longer.

 

Since this leaked and I don’t have a convenient time to listen until it officially hits Spotify tomorrow at midnight, I’m going to dip out of the thread until then. Happy listening everyone!

Ehhh, gonna disagree there, nice mood setter but no where near the most beautiful song. Way better arrangements later on.

 

man the end of sour breath is SO GOOD

 

I will never forget these two things:

Drinking whiskey and blasting Sprained Ankle on repeat during a solo camping trip and just being completely blown away despite having listened to the album once or twice before and not really feeling it. Probably the most powerful music experience I've had as an adult.

and

Running into her at a fucking Wegmans in MA just weeks later

 

But there's a comfort in failure
Singing too loud in church
Screaming my fears into speakers
'Till I collapse or I burst
Whichever comes first

Four songs in. So far so very good.
