got em for tuesday and wednesday in chicago. part of me is tempted to go for monday as well but i don’t think my wife would appreciate that, lol

 

I got tickets for all three and if I decide I'm not up for it it'll be easy enough to get a ticket to someone who wants to go, I'm sure

i was worried it would be a lot harder to get the tickets than it actually was. i did the presale through the ticketweb page which asked me for a password, so i just tried the one i saw in a facebook group previously. then i forgot my ticketweb log in and thought id lost the tickets, but i hold onto them.

can’t wait for september. i wouldn’t be surprised if she debuts some new stuff.

 

I don’t think she’s going to debut anything new. If the next release is the album with Torres (that has been teased for too long, she should have not been telling people about it in 2022 if the wait was this long lol) it wouldn’t make sense to debut any songs from that if it’s just Julien playing these shows.

Matt said they will be switching up the set lists each night (or at least each night in one city) because they know people are going to go to multiple shows. Also he said that there are some new members of the band for this tour (I don’t think Mariah is in the band anymore)

This is such an artist move though, always take what artists say about the music they're working on with a grain of salt. If there's not an official announcement with a release date attached, then I never assume the album will actually come out.

My guess is plans changed for Julien after the year boygenius had last year. It would make more sense for her career to table the album with Torres for now and push a new solo album in 2025. Can always return to those songs later, but she needs to capitalize on this moment.

 

That was my guess too (if the album exists) is that Boygenius blew up and extended their tour in a big way and, hopefully, Julien is taking some time to herself for her own well-being.

I swear, Spotify is stupid with who they send codes to.

regardless, Monday and Wednesday bought.

 

Just booked a ticket to see her for the first time on night 3 in London and for UK fans, she has added an Monday show so now she's doing an 4 night residency in London!!

 

She added a fifth show in London and both D.C. and all three Chicago shows are sold out. LA and San Francisco shows are on sale in about 40 minutes and will probably sell out in presale.

 

Still a GA sale tomorrow for Chicago but based on her other dates she's not going to be able to add one here.

 

Presale tickets for Julien's original 3 London shows have sold out so fast that she added an 4th show and presale tickets have sold out now she's added 5th and final London show!! To put in perspective.. she eventually sold out 2 nights at the Electric Ballroom in London on her last proper headline tour which is 1,500 cap venue.. the venue she will be playing at holds 1,200 capacity and selling out 5 nights there is the equivalent of selling out 1 night at the Eventim Apollo.. yeah eventually when she does release an new solo album, she is definitely gonna be performing in way bigger venues than she did on her last UK headline tour!!

 

Looks like there won’t be a general sale for the Chicago shows, their message up is their standard message they have up when no more tickets will be released (all advanced tickets sold out) but there will be a few tickets available day of at the venue.

 

There'll be a public sale, I'm sure of it.

 

Looks like for a lot of the dates there was a general sale, but barely, as the general sale lasted mere seconds at most.

you cant be sold out and also have official platinum tickets available twenty minutes later for $120. make it make sense. fuck ticketmaster.

 

pretty confident that if i hadn't seen someone post the password for the spotify presale on facebook i wouldn't have gotten tickets. also potentially because thalia hall uses ticketweb instead of ticketmaster.

 

I doubt the presale for LA even happened. I tried yesterday and went from one countdown screen to another
