Going to rewatch this week but as I remember…

2 > 1 > 3

I bet that holds up.

 

1 and 2 are on par with each other, just depends on if you want emotional story or secret society lore. The only ding against 3 is that it's a little bit more of the same re: 2. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though.

 

So happy I have a hockey game Wednesday night and this on Thursday. Having things to look forward to really makes the week go by faster

 

Watching JW2 and I gotta say, the tattooed phone operator women is one of my least favorite parts of this world. I think it’s just kinda lame?

 

I’m impartial to those scenes, the countdown did get a bit annoying in the 3rd movie though lol

 

Why didn’t Ian McShane win 4 Oscars for JW2

 

The best line and delivery from JW2 is Fishburne's "7 million dollars?! Damn! It's Christmas, we're going to Applebees after this."

 

I remember 2 actually being my least favourite of this series but still pretty great. interesting that this thread skews the opposite way, I might have to go back and rewatch it

Was telling my wife about John Wick last night and she had never heard of these movies lol

yeah its still 1 > 3 > 2 for me after rewatching. nothing gets lower than a 7/10 though. insanely consistent franchise

 

2 was my least favourite on first viewing but after rewatching the first two I think I like it more than the first.

 

don't think it really gets good until the Gianna/John scene and great until Cassian and John start facing off, which is like a whole hour in. before that is pretty much just retreading the first movie, kinda slow

also find Santino pretty boring, easily the worst villain in all 3

 

I thought the whole car section at the beginning was sick.
