I don't really understand using "bland" for music, I mean good for you if you think they're boring but that's highly subjective. I'd say Battle Born is far more interesting than a lot of music other people like, it's just all difference of opinion.

True--I never really got into them. Never really appealed to me but will try to check them out again. Battle Born sounds pretty good so far.

As for bland--think it's a pretty safe adjective to use when describing music/movie.

It just doesn't mean very much. If user X calls band Y bland, all I've gathered is that that user thinks that band is boring. That statement doesn't tell me anything else about the band, i.e. what they sound like or whether I might like them.

Again, no offense meant @CoffeeEyes17. I was trying to think of what Bayside is if The Killers are saltines. Maybe like oyster crackers. E.g. smaller, less delicious saltines.

With that said, I laughed out loud at the saltines comment, so you can trust that my post was tongue in cheek.
