I feel like Invented has a lot of lyrics / lines that could be interpreted as more leaning towards romance than break up... Maybe it's just me hah?

Yeah, I've always heard "Invented" as romantic and hopeful. I actually think it's maybe their purest love song. I put it on one of the first mix CDs I made for my now-wife.

I think this is the only band Tristan and I pretty much completely agree on as far as opinions and favorites go. Although I don't like OA as much as him.

Anyone listen to Damage a lot(at all?)

 

I spun Damage on vinyl yesterday. Still surprises me that some people think that album is any less than great.

I remember I liked first few listens but haven't came back. Will check it out sometime this week.

 

Damage has been in heavy rotation since it came out. It has a different feel for me than Invented or CTL or Bleed, but it's fantastic.

 

Got bored this morning so I decided to look up a lot of JEW interviews and documentaries on YouTube. They always get so tickled when they bring up Tom's boner story. Love these guys.

 

Finally going to listen to the albums by this band I haven't heard before. I will report back later with my analysis.
