There are at least five songs on every Jimmy Eat World album since Clarity that are better than "I Will Steal You Back."

That's my least favourite album of theirs from Clarity onward, I just find that song pretty fun.

What a coincidence! Just like I really wanted to hear about how you think I should react to their setlists!

Interesting. You're not even into the last two songs? Seems like those would be your speed.

I've never been super into "My Best Theory." I feel similarly about it that I do with "Get Right." Decent first taste of the album; not a favorite.

Tbf, I didn't spend that much time with it. It was the last one I started listening to when I got into them and I think I was a little burnt out on the band so just moved on as nothing was really grabbing me. I don't even remember most of it. I remember disliking the opener which always hurts an album for me. I think My Best Theory is the catchiest on there? So it just stuck with me quicker. I'll probably revisit the whole album at some point.

And like, hey I get it — they just came off a lengthy tour for IB, but still, only one song?! Even when I saw them open for Incubus, they only played 3 off IB, and I guess my entire comment is based off that tour in a way. It’s a similar situation this time around, so that prevented me from being too surprised after seeing the set. They’re also the type of band that should be able to change it up every show, have a few rotating songs for different stops. Rise Against did something like that when they first toured for their last album. Weezer was doing it last summer, too.

You bring up a tasty idea though — a 27-30 song set from them would be incredible. I wish they would take a cue from the Foos and do that on their next headline tour.

I'd recommend going back to it, for sure. It's actually my least favorite of the Clarity to Integrity Blues run, just because it's the one that holds together the least as an album IMO. But on the other hand, I also think it has some of their best songs. I totally know what you mean about being burnt out on a band you're getting into, because that's happened to me so many times. You get to the 10th album in a discography or something and nothing is really standing out anymore. But I think with fresh ears you might find that you dig stuff like "Movielike" and "Invented."

They hit 25 songs when I saw them early on the Integrity Blues tour, and it was by far the best show I've seen of theirs. We also got I think six IB songs at that show, which was great. But yeah, I think having a 5-6 rotating song slots would be super cool. I've never seen about half of Futures, for instance, and very little of Clarity. It would a nice opportunity to pull out both overlooked newer songs and older songs that haven't get a lot of love on recent tours.

I love I WIll You Steal Me Back. That song has such an awesome vibe to it, plus that bridge is so damn good. That song just cruises along.

Goddamn, I wish that tour hadn’t skipped over me. I’m in the Seattle area, and they played Spokane on a weeknight, which makes the 6 hour drive a pain in the ass, haha. 25 songs is a dream come true for a band of their ilk, because they legitimately have more than enough material to just make that setlist be stacked with classics. More love for Clarity would be my request, because I’ve been fortunate enough to see most of Futures live, and “23” & “Polaris” are the one season I’ve seen only once, and somehow I didn’t die right then and there. So let’s hope they play each of those (and more) again shortly.

I saw a bunch of IB deep cuts on Jim's acoustic tour, but IB hadn't released yet so I didn't know what songs they were haha

I’ve gotten “23” all three times I’ve seen them, but never “Polaris.” Never gotten “Kill” either, which is a top three JEW song for me.

I only didn't get Polaris once. The last time I saw them and they played Polaris it was legit so emotional and powerful I geeked out

My only JEW white whale is Dizzy.

But again I'm gonna repeat, a bad JEW setlist is literally impossible.

Hey now. Look at you. Way cool.

He played Integrity Blues and Get Right on that tour. Was a great soft intro to the album that had yet to be recorded. Please Say No was the highlight for my show though.
