Yuppppp same. Clarity is great but it doesn't have nearly the same emotional impact for me as any of their other albums sans Static. And I realize that statement is insame to most JEW fans but *shrug*.

 

Hearing “for me this is heaven” before any of their other songs is one reason it sits up so high for me. That album showed me layers in a way my pop punk didn’t.

 

Appreciation is ironically under-appreciated

 

My fav opener by them actually

 

A Praise Chorus is their best song and I won’t hear any different

 

I love A Praise Chorus but there is just no way it beats Polaris or 23 for me.

 

Bleed American has a certain muscularity to it that their other openers don’t. Futures comes close

 

Political Jimmy Eat World doesn’t get nearly enough credit.

 

bums me out to see ppl not rating clarity highly but it’s not like the other albums aren’t also excellent so whatever

clarity is MAGICAL though

 

Although it’s not my favorite and it took many years to click with me...Invented has become my go to album this last 1-2 years.

IDK why it took me so long to fall in love with the album, but I never gave up on it! It’s aged very well.

 

Also, the first song I ever heard that got me into the band was “Clarity”. The title track is still my favorite from that album.

 

Work. Kill. 23. Futures... Polaris or Night Drive.

 

A praise chorus. If you don't. My sundown. Bleed. Cautioners.

 

Clarity and Invented both fall into this category for me where I love particular songs but don’t overly enjoy it as an album.

Whereas with Damage, none of my favorite JEW songs are on it but I much prefer it as a cohesive album.

I can’t think of an album opener that sets up an album better than Futures.

All of their openers are really great imo.

 

Bleed American was the very first jimmy song I heard, I thought the album would be more in that vein and I remember being a bit disappointed on first listen

 

Album 10 is still being worked on! Looks like we can safely bet on a Fall/Winter release. The more time they take with this the better, I know they want this to be special.

 

Invented is my favourite Jimmy from the title track, Littlething and Movielike alone

 

So yesterday I listened to Bleed American, Futures and Chase This Light on a drive, back to back to back, completely uninterrupted.

How many artists can say they have a run like that?
