Speaking of new albums, any updates on that end? Integrity Blues made me a full-fledged JEW fanboy, I can't wait.

 

Nothing other than Jim replied to an Instagram question and said it's definitely coming this year

 

Shucks. I hope it's a spring release. Guessing June or July since we haven't heard much, though.

Aaaaaaaaaand now I'm listening to Clarity for the rest of the day.

 

Damn, this album.... *infinite heart emojis*

 

A classic, that would be followed by other classics. What a band.

 

Perfect album. Top to bottom Clarity is filled with gems. This is the album that got me into this band.

 

I saw that link to the 20-year anniversary piece so I clicked in. Then I saw who wrote it and I clicked right the fuck out again. No band I love is worth me sitting through paragraphs of that wanker Ian Cohen's writing. Fuck that dude.

 

So ready for some new JEW. Can’t believe it’s almost time for another album!

 

I never liked Clarity. Love tracks like Lucky Denver Mint and For Me This Is Heaven but as a whole the album blurs together and rarely holds my interest

I just can’t get behind this...

 

I think Clarity is good but overrated. I certainly would not place it as their best work.

 

Clarity was a a huge “influence” album for other upcoming bands, such as Moneen.

I know it’s not my favourite by them, but that album was an important step for what they were going to do next.

 

Totally fair. Was not thinking in terms of that when I said it. I meant more like overrated in terms of my favorite JEW albums.

 

I’m probably more in your camp, where I like the album, but it’s not in my top 4 Jimmy albums. So yeah, to me it’s slightly overrated, but to many others it’s a prolific album. I also first discovered Jimmy with some demos that went on to become Bleed American. When you discover a band also helps dictate things too I think.

 

Just realized Clarity is 20! I remember being at the 10 year anniversary show at the HOB in Boston. Time really does fly by.

 

Lol I booked one of their one-off shows that was kinda part of that tour. Can't believe it was ten years ago.
