Listened to Integrity Blues three times today and ready to say it's a top 5 record of the decade for me.

been listening to nothing but bleed american this week. a praise chorus, your house, and if you dont dont could be my top 3 favorite songs by this band on any given day

 

I swear when I heard them first play a praise chorus live it was like an epiphany to get my life together and stop letting it pass me by. I mean I'm still letting it pass me by lol but I'm making plans to change that!

 

Man, this band feels like home.

My favorite albums are pretty easily Futures and Chase This Light, but Bleed American and Integrity Blues often fight for the title of third.

 

I’d say my top four. Clarity had already been released before I discovered this band. Heard a few Bleed American Demos before the album came out and have been listening since.

 

I haven't listened to Futures in a couple months. Time to fix that.

invented. invented season is easily September and October


but the truth is futures, invented, integrity blues, and bleed American are all fall albums for me. futures more winter though.

I don’t really associate clarity with any season. so it floats. just like the rest, I listen to them all all year round but in my mind that’s how I divide them by season, which I like doing with my music listening for some reason

 

I should finally listen to invented. Only one I haven’t heard.

 

You With Me, The End Is Beautiful, and Pol Roger are my faves from IB

 

it’s a really special album. came out right when my senior year of high school started. there’s a very “coming of age” feel to that record that’s a result of Jim’s attempt at narrative writing, in the shoes of characters rather than himself. A lot of those songs mean more to me than anything. Heart is Hard to find is my answer for favorite jimmy eat world song 9 out of 10 times for a reason. But then you’ve also got the title track, stop, little thing, cut, mixtape, and of course the Wilco cover and the superchunk cover not to mention the demo and acoustic versions on the deluxe edition. I mean, it’s not perfect and a couple songs tend to be disliked by a lot of people but I like every song here and think all besides one or two are legitimately great. My Best Theory is far from their best lead single but it’s a rock solid pop rock track. Evidence gets too much shit as does Movielike. Coffee and Cigarettes is amazing. Action needs an audience is good but the one id say I only like
