    Some odd choices on there.

    No "Polaris," no care.

But yeah, I can't imagine picking some of those songs at the exclusion of others. Stuff like "Your House" and "Chase This Light" would be good on there IMO, and if the goal is to introduce the band's catalog to new fans, I'm surprised by the lack of songs like "Pain" and "My Best Theory" and, regardless of what the author thinks of Damage, "I Will Steal You Back" should almost definitely be on there.

If you only have 60 minutes, you don’t waste any of them on Static Prevails. Sorry.

I got there a few songs into their set because I was working taste of tremont all day and the long set was great. They were supposed to be done on from 9-10:30 but went way over. It was 10:30 before they even got to their encore. And they sounded really good. I walked into the room and could instantly tell they were on it. Jim and the group perform the hell out of those songs.

It's funny, at 8:30 I was finishing up walking my dog and and about to put my son to bed and I thought to myself, if I hurry the hell up, I can probably be there by their 2nd or 3rd song (assuming they went on at 9?) but I was just absolutely drained from driving six hours after a weekend away and couldn't imagine driving another 30 minutes to Cle and then back when I was exhausted.

How was Taste of Tremont? Used to love going to that.

It was busy... and hot! My friend runs Edison's pub and he has a few people help out for taste. Aside from the normal bar, he had beer stands on the back patio and in the parking lot where they have a music stage. Made a quick $300 to pour beer, listen to music, drink beer, and hang with my friends. And then to cap things off by watching JEW play an awesome set made for a really good evening.

You probably should haha. One of the more underrated patios in the city imo. And if you have a dog you can bring dogs to the patio again.

  16. I have definitely seen this live and I was STOKED. I forget which show. I wanna say BA 10 year or was it futures? I think it was up in Ventura when they played with the keyboardist’s band that played all video game instrumentals and were so fucking rad.

I don't know if it was this thread or another one - but never realized that Liz Phair was on Work, but now I totally hear it every time and it's just made that song even better to me.

    So thanks Chorus.fm

    all we have is time

They put on such a great show last night in Nashville. Such a great setlist. Was pleasantly surprised to have gotten so many deep cuts at a free outdoor show.

There's a handful of JEW songs that I haven't really listened to in a while-- mostly because they meant a great deal to me in high school and some are heavily defined by the events and struggles they helped me get through.

"23" probably meant the most, and I hadn't really listened to it in years. Hearing it live last night was probably one of the most cathartic experiences of my life. I turn 23 next year, and hearing the "amazing still it seems, I'll be 23.. I won't always love what I'll never have.." verse brought me this incredible sense of hope/relief. It's so hard to put this into words, but listening intently to those lyrics for the first time since I was maybe 16, now nearing the age of 23, put time into perspective for me. Really made me think of how much has changed since then and how grateful I am to be where I'm at. Just this feeling that no matter what, everything will work out. Took on a new meaning for me.

This is probably explained terribly, but I just wanted to share before I forgot. This band means so much to me. Feeling the need to dive back into their discography at full force right now. Very glad I got to experience that last night and also hear some of the IB songs live finally!
