Sure & Certain came on the radio at the bonfire on the beach tonight. It was perfect and only a few of us caught on that it was a new JEW song. It will forever remind me of this night. Love when that happens.

"For Me This is Heaven" is the best JEW ballad and one of the greatest ballads.

It's probably premature for me to make a ranked list of songs for this band, ha. I might do one when I'm a bit more familiar with all of their stuff.

You were 4 minutes early! Spotify updates at 12EST so it's on there now.

Started listening to these guys since a little after the move from AP to Chorus. I got into their first 3 albums, but couldn't do CTL. It was mediocre to me and prevented me from moving on so I stopped. Listened to the 1st single and it got me pumped, so I decided to skip CTL and try Invented this week. And damn, Invented is real good. The title track is amazing. I think I'd rank it as my second favorite behind Futures at this point. But safe to say I'm glad to be on the JEW bandwagon, and I'm pretty excited about the new album.

Might telling us what song you got to on CTL?

I'm going to need to spend some time with Static today so that I don't just leave all of those songs as a clump at the bottom of the list.

Are you including the covers they recorded studio versions of?

Yeah haha, I doubt I could do this for most bands.

Even given how familiar I am with this band's discography, ranking every song seems incredibly daunting. Also, are you talking about only LP tracks? Because I probably have just as many, if not more, demos/b-sides/bonus tracks than I do album songs.

Most people felt that way about that album when it came out as well. Give it time because it is most definitely not mediocre.

Chase This Light clicked with me immediately during my first listen.

We're trying to include b-sides too. Ranking the songs from the albums was, for the most part, not too difficult.

Still feel like it's their most accessible record.

Chase This Light was the first JEW album that I actively anticipated. Discovered them after Futures came out ("Pain" was on the Tony Hawk soundtrack; I listened to it obsessively), and I saw them on the more intimate "acoustic" tour they did before CTL. (That is still one of the best shows I've ever seen.) I still remember them playing the title track and "Carry You" and how both of them grabbed me instantly. I never understood the lukewarm response to CTL: there's my personal connection to it, sure, but I think it's also almost perfectly executed in what they wanted it to be.

To me? Yes. I find C&C boring musically and don't really have any attachment to the lyrics. I get why a lot of people like it, it's just not my cup of tea.

Plus I think coffee and cigarettes are both pretty gross.

Still hope I can see an acoustic JEW/Jim Adkins show one day.

I hope they come back through Chatt on their next tour. They had an amazing turn out for the Futures 10 Yr Anniversary Tour.

Though I love cigarettes with coffee, I'm not a huge fan of the song. I'm with you that it's a little bland.

Cigarettes and alcohol make way more sense than with coffee.

Hey now. Look at you. Way cool.

Ranking the songs sounds pretty tough. In theory we could have a massive knock-out tournament of all the songs through polls on this site. Would take ages though. I don't think I've ever really had a favourite JEW song because they're so consistent. I don't know if I even have a top 10 or top 5. For as much as I love one song at some moment, I find that any other song can satisfy me just as much in a different mood or time. All I really know is that Tom's songs would be near the bottom. And Disintegration would probably be near the top.

Half Right yeah I'll include that, the others probably not
