  1. Integrity Blues hit me hard and became my favorite or second favorite album depending on the day, so what's the chance I like these new songs?

just trying to spin the thread in a more positive direction

Well it was a bad post.

Hint: If you make a post on a public forum, don’t act surprised or up in arms when people respond to it on. Again, it’s a public forum.

Hey now. Look at you. Way cool.

I think this new album will be very different to IB. Less of the brooding emotional stuff, more of the fun rock stuff. With them both produced by the same guy, I feel like we will look back on them as counterpart albums that each demonstrate difference sides of the band's musical stylings. I think it will be great in a very different way. And I think punchy JEW is what we need right now, after a few years of more brooding albums.

Good guy, but a bad dude

I’ll miss the broody stuff but this is great pop punk. No band does it better

Hasn’t Jim already come out and said there’s some fairly dark stuff on here? Not expecting this to be all “fun rock”

Yes, but he has also said this album is much more of a "just a rock band rocking out" album or something along those lines. I expect some dark lyrics but in more angsty, punky songs rather than slow, lush songs. But I'm sure there will be a variety of styles, there always is. I'd say Futures is mostly a "rock band rocking out" album but it has some of their most beautiful moments and is very dark.

  12. I tend to forget how hearing a new JEW song automatically lift my mood. I might have slight gripes about a few records but overall they must be one of the most consistent bands ever. Don't ever stop releasing music please.

This song rocks and the sax solo added 27 years to my life.

This time every 3 years when we build up to a new JEW album is always my favourite time. So much excitement that I get distracted from my other obligations in life.

Dude take it to DMs if you really give a shit what randomers on the internet think about your opinion. Otherwise, this clearly isn't working for you. There's no resolution in sight, just further bickering. If it carries on it will have been a waste of time.

This version of "Love Never" sounds so much more powerful than what I remember of the other version released.

I am fairly broke AF but I am seriously contemplating putting that blue hoodie on a credit card....

  22. Exactly. That time we got Integrity Blues and Yellowcard's fantastic self-titled a few weeks apart... we were blessed.

I find it interesting that Love Never is included on this album. I liked that song when it was released last year, but I was much more into Half Heart

Not to mention The Dear Hunter's Act VI a month or so prior. In fact Act VI came out on the same day that I saw Jimmy Eat World on their IB preview tour.
