I’ve seen The Front Bottoms 3 times but I’m not much of a fan lol. They’re just always on these tours haha

I disagree completely but I did laugh at this, haha.

I don't know, I'm a big TFB guy. I much prefer their earlier work to their two recent albums. I totally understand they're definitely not for everyone.

I think they're an absolute blast live too. Seeing them for the 7th time next month.

The first two TFB albums were important to me, but I don’t like anything they’ve put out in years and never return to the old stuff

Interested to see who's headlining or if this is a co-headliner...seeing as you all seem to hate TFB, you're all probably thinking JEW is the headliner (and I'd agree based on legacy alone) however, (at least in Cleveland - I can't speak for other cities), TFB plays bigger venues here than when JEW comes into town. JEW has been playing HOB capacity shows here the last several years whereas TFB have been alternating between HOB & The Agora, which is a bigger venue. Their HOB shows sell out pretty much isntantly and I'm fairly certain next month's show at The Agora is almost sold out and will sell out. They are also touring with a very small opener (Pom Pom Squad?). I would bet money that JEW would need a very large opener/co-headliner to pull off filling up The Agora in Cleveland. I don't even think their last two HOB shows sold out.

It's funny that people think TFB are trash, but carry on

Back on Top is one of the better rock albums in the past 5 years, one of the few that actually made me excited for something new. Rock is fucking boring these days and they made something unique, catchy and creative

I’ve seen the Front Bottoms twice and thought they were an absolute blast. Then, I tried to listen to them recorded, and didn’t love them.

I’m fine with them as an opener, though. Lotta energy, lotta fun, and as I recall a guy randomly plays trumpet sometimes.

Obviously there's a few albums a year, but I really don't find a lot of new ideas in rock that excites me. Most anything in the pop-punk realm these days is derivative, radio rock is fucking horrid, indie rock has few and far between... the best rock albums have been the ones that are borderline "rock" anyway.

Give me some examples from the last few years of exciting rock albums

Most of their music is laughably bad, but the two songs I like of theirs are amazing

TFB was the band that made me feel like people describe Blink making them feel during their first few records, so I have nostalgia for them in that sense.
