I don't think I'll ever not get super super pumped up by that snare roll into the last chorus of Sure and Cerain

The End Is Beautiful is already an incredibly resonant song for me.

So I'm a regular at my local starbucks and when I came in tonight the baristas let me choose a song to play in the store. Gave me the qualifications yada yada yada, so naturally I chose Sure and Certain. They loved it. I have done this band a public service. That is all.

I haven't been following this thread but for those that have heard this album, please tell me it's better than Damage?

JEW is a top 5 band of all time for me but they completely missed me with Damage. Shocked at how much I couldn't get into it.

    It's better than Damage.

    And I love Damage.

  9. I love damage but this one is more in line with their other stuff

Found an awesome press interview they did. Awesome insight into the album process. Things get funny. Jim has romance down to a SCIENCE.

I like to think that the "dance" line in It Matters is a nod to Episode IV, but I know that's whacky

Yeah this album bleeds Futures and Chase This Light to me. If you love those albums, you'll love this new one.

Despite how many jokes I made prior to hearing, Pass The Baby is a really incredible song.

Curious where you hear Chase? That's probably the one this sounds the least like to me.

Hey now. Look at you. Way cool.

If I love Sure & Certain, Clarity, Futures and Damage, but dislike the majority of Invented and Chase This Light (except for Always Be which I think is their best single), will I love this album?

I think anyone who likes Futures will like this album.

Songs like Through and You Are Free and Pass The Baby. Not so much the brighter, upbeat songs on CTL but the more somber cuts like Carry You and Gotta Be Somebody's Blues

  20. Chase comes through by way of "Gotta Be Somebody's Blues" and "Firefight" imo. so, the closest things to Futures on that record haha

Carry You is the epitome of "bright, upbeat" for me.

This thread just incites jealousy and a feeling of thinking I made the wrong career move with how many people have gotten a preview
