Ugh, I am going to love the shit out of this album. Let me go check hasitleaked for the 100th time now..

 

It is very much its own thing, too. I don't mean to say its a rehash or a calculated attempt to return to "the glory days." But it definitely gives me a similar vibe. It's the closest any of their albums have gotten to making me feel the way I did listening to Futures on fall nights in 2004.

Couldn't believe the amount of dislikes on the "Sure and Certain" YT video. Like... why?

 

Me too. "You Are Free" sounds like it could be one of those types of songs.. really looking forward to the studio version

you are aware of how much leaks hurt bands right? don't know why you would want a band to lose money just because you're impatient

 

yes youre right. i wasnt being entirely honest. i wouldnt leak it myself and wouldnt want it to find its way onto the wider internet. my "please leak" was more like "please send to me and i wont tell anyone" lol. it was more just crying out to the void that im dying to hear the album rather than a literal desire that it be leaked.

 

I wonder if any more songs on the album are at all "radio friendly"

 

I could see "Through" or "Pretty Grids" on the radio.

 

I could see a lot of this being on the radio tbh

 

"Through" would be my bet for the next single.

 

It's so late in the track listing it makes me think it won't be though.

But I know nothing, I havnt heard the album.

Side note: I had a dream I was walking through Walmart last night, and Walmart was telling Jimmy Eat World shirts for like 5 dollars. BUT they were bootleg shirts and everything was really weird. Like the shirts wouldn't say Jimmy Eat World, they said like "Jimmy Is Eat The World", but graphics that were albums resembling the album art but not really hahaha

how's the album holding up for you after having a few weeks with it?

 

It's still really good. I'm gravitating towards a couple (sure &) certain songs as being my favorites. I think the back half is better in general
