despite the fact that i really like this album, generally JEW albums are pretty big growers for me - so im sure by this time next year ill love this album waaaay more than i even do right now. pretty surprised to see people already saying they like this more than "Invented"... and that is not a bash in the slightest on Integrity Blues, like i said, i really really enjoy it even after only 2 listens.

 

i actually find the title track to be the "weirdest" / "most different" from the album / typical JEW, not "Pass the Baby".

 

23, Dizzy, Pol Roger, and Goodbye Sky Harbor are the holy quadrant or whatever

I feel you. I love Damage, and really like Invented/BA but, theres something about this record that just elevates it. And this is all subject to change of course. I'm a *relatively* new fan of the band so theres nothing to say Invented couldn't grow on me more in the next year or so, but this is the best first listen of a JEW album I've had since I heard CTL for the first time.

i remember i avoided CTL for so, so long because i knew it wouldn't be able to top Futures and i kind of just wanted to walk away from the band for a long while. ironic since i love CTL and it's second on my list (behind Futures).
