One story I read said he was out of sorts because of the time off between one show and this ones recording.

He did seem slow on the buzzer, I guess, as the competitors certainly rrang in a lot. And he didnt get the daily doubles in the 2nd round (either one?) and he seemed flustered.

EWas it all an act to gte back to reality? He said in the beginning, hes noticed now... Perhaps he was just done.

Quiz Show was such a good movie - Turturro and Fiennes were great. This totally reminds me (and Im sure, a lot of people) of the way the game was thrown.

 

When you're making $40K a day playing a half hour game show, I dunno if I buy the theory about wanting to get back to normal life.

Probably just had an off game. Was bound to happen eventually. I don't think he was quite as good of a player as Ken, James or Brad.

 

It's hard to stay focused when you're playing so any shows, especially back to back.

I love aggressive wagering when you've already got the game locked. Placing a $25k bet on one question is pretty bold but she's obviously been making the right gambles.

 

It’s crazy that we got the #3 and #5 (so far) all time winners in the same year.

 

Now #4.

Sucks we gotta wait 2 weeks to see her play again, but the tournament should be fun.

Anyone know how much longer Ken is supposed to host?

Was yesterday where she technically got it but didnt say the whole thing sequentially so they couldnt give it to her?

 

yeah, except she did say it sequentially, she just paused for "more than a couple seconds" before saying the last word

it was hilarious. Wheel of Fotune is such a joke lmao

 

Every now and then there are some reaaaal garbage rules enforced on that show

oh yeah for sure, like when they do the crosswords and if you add the word "and" they won't count it.

they also have some of the most ridiculous puzzles too. like the category will be "phrase" but it won't be a common phrase that someone might be able to come up with, it'll just a be a random collection of words.
