Not linking it but the Saving Country Music review is a predictably, hilariously awful review of Jason Isbell being a big meanie to conservative fans mixed in with the obligatory “Is this country?” nonsense. Why must I always hate-read that guy lol.

 

Yeah I read that too, it was really bad.

Yea I read the first paragraph or so, got mad, closed the page. Dude doesn't deserve a platform at this point imo (if he ever did)

 

Despite the above warnings, I read it and my god..lol. Not sure how that qualifies as an album review when maybe a paragraph and a half talks about the album in an almost glanced over way. The other 50 or so paragraphs just shit on him..and then they give it a 7.5?? I was expecting like a 2 or 3.

 

Pre-Trump, that dude was at least a decent source for recommendations. Never a good writer, and always too preoccupied with the “is this country?” question, which...who cares? But he’s just become an apologist for right wing nuts, misogynists, etc.
