    He was on Brian Koppelmans pod cast (The Moment) yesterday. It was a good listen although not sure if there is much new to learn from it.

    Also the line in "St. Peter's Autograph" about cutting him down and burning the tree took my breath away. My younger brother has done this pretty much word for word twice now. (One of the times it wasn't a tree, it was a shed.)

    Its funny because I think Jenny Lewis said the same thing happened early into the production of her last record. He just kind of up and vanished from the project. But yeah, he didn't sugar coat it!

    Also, a little late to the game here. I just got my copy this afternoon. A local shop started taking online orders for curbside pickup and I also had been waiting to get the new Brian Fallon; which he just got more of today.

    I definitely need to read back through what's been said so far, but after first listen I was ready to just flip it over and start all over again! Sometimes first listens can be rough for me if stuff doesn't grab me right away. But I felt like time flew by listening. Its great he gave Indie stores early access as it pretty much allowed me to support artists and the music economy in the best way possible right now.

    can someone photoshop a screen grab of walter white saying "I am the one who knocks" but instead of 'knocks' it's 'ranks' and instead of walter's head it's the chorus logo

    It’s Isbell>Stapleton>Sturgill for me, but all three are elite.

    Also, my vinyl showed up. Hooray! Glad I could buy it from a local shop, even if it took a few extra days.

    Wait, that was just me ranking those three, not my actual Top 3 ranking out of everyone.

  23. Craig Manning

    @FurtherFromSky Moderator

    I’d accept any ranking of those three.

    Yeah, it just blew by me.

    I really haven’t gone back to Tyler’s last record much. It feels weirdly inert to me. Purgatory, though, is a classic.

    I connect with Jason a lot more than either Sturgill or Stapleton. Although all 3 are great in their own right.
