Will I ever see this band love or should I just let go of that thought?

I listened to Celebration Rock for like every day for a year. Gonna go spin it and reminisce.

 

"Younger Us" makes me want to shotgun a million beers every damn time. Curious...people in this thread seem pretty pessimistic in regards to this band's future. Is there news or hints of this that I've missed?

 

Celebration Rock is the greatest album in rock and roll history.

 

Why is it taking just 2 dudes so long to make another album. I'm getting impatient over here and need something by the end of summer. Someone send this to them. That'll surly work.

 

they hate making records. they only make records in order to play live.

Dang, never read that interview and they make it seem that writing a record is just "something that may happen eventually maybe whatever". Lets hope that since that was in 2012, that the 4 years since has given them time to have a change of heart.

 

2014? Obviously not something they're rushing to do atm

 

I remember I finally checked them out literally a week after they came through Nashville last. Really regret that.

 

So glad I listened to CR first because PN does very little to me but I agree that CR is fast, clean, and to the point! Not a single second wasted! Amazing album just Rock N' Roll perfection. Would never have heard it without AP.net so thanks!

of course even if they're working on something that doesn't mean the timeline is soon at all either
won't be until 2017 at the very very earliest

 

I just don't think I'd want another Japandroids album knowing they hate making music/records

 

yeah that's sort of been my thoughts on this the whole time, they've given us two really good records which is more than most bands can give

 

If Japandroids release an album this year as well as everything else going on you may as well forget about 2017. It'll have nothing left to give!

I mean, I'm sure they hated it by the time they made Celebration Rock, too. That turned out okay.
