I haven't listened to the podcast, but watching Welcome to Wrexham really shows off how douchey Rob is lol

 

I mean the original Dee got replaced last minute which is very on brand but it's unsurprising

 

Best decision they ever made

 

I like Rob and want more podcast so I’m sad.

 

I felt like for all three of them, seeing their actual personalities and opinions on the podcast made them seem more like real, normal people to me

 

I get what you mean. I could be wrong but I feel like sometimes tv folk have less of a net worth than you may think.

 

I still like rob and glenn. Welcome to wrexham is great and it put rob more on the map. But he’s definitely more famous than the other two now and I just felt that on the podcast lol. Glenns weird health things are what make me side eye him a bit but all three still seem like decent people.

 

I do want more podcast though. Contrary to what I said about them above, I actually was anxiously awaiting to hear how they pulled off the "bigger" episodes in seasons 6-9.

 

I loved the podcast. The guys seem weird, sure, but i don’t really care since they don’t come across like bad people at all imo, just kinda strange dudes

 

They supported IATSE during their contract fight pretty vocally, which was cool to see. But Rob lost me a bit when he treated NFTs seriously on Mythic Quest.

 

Interesting to hear the opinions on the podcast and think I’ll avoid listening to it just in case I’m on the side that was impacted negatively. Maybe one day years now I’ll listen to it just like it took me years to finally watch the show

 

Apologies if I’ve said this before but I adore how Frank’s reaction to learning about certain things that the group has done in the past. Like Flipadelphia, and other things like that, Frank’s reaction looks genuinely amused and confused.

Maybe it’s all acting because DeVito is a fantastic actor and maybe a Google search or the podcast would reveal if it is genuine reaction or acting but I like to think it’s genuine bafflement of DeVito hearing the dialogue for the first time lol

 

you can probably do the first 10 episodes or so without risking anything… it’s much later that the weirder things start emerging - from memory, mostly after they move to the fancy new podcast studio.

those early eps were fantastic.

 

That studio was sick though

 

the studio was very slick! I think they just started overthinking the format a little

 

I know I sounded very negative before but I did still love the podcast and hope they bring it back lol

 

glenn is into music, i noticed that, he was always rocking band t-shirts and talking about concerts he had gone too, thats not out of touch imo

 

Unless I forgot a scene, watching “The Gang Gets Trapped” and realizing how funny it is that THIS is the one situation where Frank doesn’t have his gun lol. He has a whip though and maybe the whole Indiana Jones motif would be why he doesn’t have his gun with him when he seemingly does at Al other times, but just found it funny especially after the “southerners are armed to the teeth” conversation.

 

Similar to how it seemed like a large portion of Netflix’s audience only used it to watch The Office way back in the day, I find myself only using Hulu to watch Sunny. This is just constantly on and seems to be the only thing I watch outside of a few things here and there.

 

Gotta love a good comfort show. Sunny was mine and my wife's a few years back.

 

I honestly can't have Sunny on as a background show like I can with The Office, Parks & Rec, King of the Hill, etc. I pay way too much attention every time it's on and start quoting everything lol.

 

You can because through God all things are possible, so jot that down.

 

Attention span......BE GONE!

 

May have broken a rib from laughing so hard tonight - Bill Pondera’s daughter (S10E3 “Mac Kills His Dad”) in that episode looks, sounds, even speaks like one of my little cousins and she’s right around the age I assume this actress was at the time and I showed my cousins and family that scene during a family get together and we had it basically on a loop for an hour or so laughing about it (and the cousin in question was present and enjoyed it too).

Other conversation shifted to how my uncle Bob looks a lot like Frank and how my uncles bizarre stories and behaviors are similar to Frank as well and then the joke was on me because I was the only “emo kid” in the family growing up so the scenes with his son in that episode also got tremendous laughs.

Easily one of the best memories with family I’ve ever had, which is quite fitting for the absurdity of the show and my family lol
