This is great to hear. With such a decisive outcome guaranteed, I assume that means we can stop funneling dozens of billions of taxpayer dollars into propping up a foreign war effort and start investing that money in our own infrastructure, renewable energy, welfare, and education programs.

This time Russia is for sure out of missiles.

Not sure where you get your news, but nobody has said they're out of missiles; we know that they're running low on missiles

It's only "guaranteed" if the West keeps supporting the Ukrainian forces

    We’ve heard that since March.

I haven't seen a single source say they're completely out of missiles, and I follow the war daily. But understanding Russia doesn't have an infinite amount of children-killing missiles, it's pretty easy to surmise that they're stock of available missiles is dwindling, based on the rate they've been launching them, which has decreased a lot over the last several months. If you can find a trusted source that once said Russia is completely out of missiles, I'll eat my own words

    Guaranteed forever war.

Based on the rate of Russian men dying, and the increasingly sick Russia economy, I'm fairly certain Russia won't have the stomach to keep it going, especially based on the ground they keep losing

It was obviously a joke. I know they aren’t out of missiles. But the narrative you and others have pushed for months is that they’ve been running low, and yet they seem to be able to strike all over the country regularly with impunity.

based on the fact that this war is being used by the US to bleed Russia via its Ukrainian proxy, that weapons have been sold to Ukraine since at least the 2014 coup, and that Russia is in the crosshairs of US interests, I think the US will find a way to fund war. thus, forever war.

Well they are running low, as the rate of missiles being fired has dropped dramatically since the first couple of months; if they had way more missiles than we thought, they would have kept up the rate they fired them consistently every month. We haven't seen that. Plus, they're increasingly using more dumb/unguided missiles, which shows they're running out of the smart guided missiles. And now we know they're looking to grab missiles from Iran - if you weren't running low on missiles, you wouldn't be looking outside your country for a new supply. Just like they've been doing with Iranian drones

Yep. The MIC will see to it. If they don’t inadvertently kill us all. They are playing the same game in Taiwan (and I have a sneaking suspicion Chinese arms manufacturers are in on it).

If Russia wants to stop the bleeding, all they have to do is leave Ukraine - it's really that simple. Russia had a prosperous future, and Putin saw that and was like "Nah, I don't want Russia to have this future"

not just the MIC, but it’s in the interest in US led neoliberal order that there is no market untouched, no opposition to it, whether it be a socialist state, an Islamic republic, or a form of capitalism that cannot be fully folded into the neoliberal order as a junior partner.

I’m not going to go through the events that led up to this war again.

The great thing about this is that it can be stopped if Russia just leaves Ukraine. It’s very simple you see.

Despite those events, there was no valid reason for Putin to invade - none. Completely, utterly, unjustified invasion. All he has to do to stop the children dying, the conscripts dying, the families dying, the Russian economy dying, is to leave. It's not Russia's land, so therefore he's not justified in taking it.

The US loves to look at other countries outside its sphere of influence prosper and nod approvingly.

Personally, I think their invasion of Ukraine has dragged out much longer than they originally thought it would and so they've had to dip into their strategic reserves much more than they would have liked to, but they're not close to running out. I'm sure they had some percentage they are comfortable expending on things like this, and I would say they've probably gone over that, and that's why we've seen them using certain types of missiles to hit non-military targets and looking to places like Iran to potentially source more from without having to shift everything over to a war footing.

Agreed Russia wants a short war. The US on the other hand.

Yeah but they had to stop NATO from growing by…taking actions that immediately caused the growth of NATO:facepalm:

Russia should just let peaceful NATO come to them. It will end in a nice happy ending like Libya. I have no historical memory past 2022.
