Sounds like Interpol! This reminds me that I can't remember a single note from their 2018 record.

 

Marauder is a horribly mixed but wonderful record.

 

I was pretty let down by Marauder and the coinciding EP, but have higher hopes for this one.

 

The new single, "Something Changed" is great.

That said, Marauder took me a minute to get into. It didn’t click at first but I revisited it recently and I have a bigger appreciation for it now.

 

These are good songs. I like Something Changed a bit more. They do share a similar sound and pace.

 

Something Changed bored me but I like Toni. I need to hear another single to decide if I want to pre order this..

 

hmm i don't really love these singles. a shame, marauder holds up wonderfully

Only got to listen to this once, but it's really fucking good. Loved it.

 

I don't think the album is nearly as mellow / moody as the singles and all the press I have read leads you to believe. It's not wall-to-wall bangers like Marauder, but the energy level reminds me a lot of every other Interpol album.

Had no idea this album was happening haha. Went through a major Interpol deep dive this past fall, so I am super excited about listening to this.

 

5 full listens to the album so far and yeah, this album is great.

As someone who adores this band and loves most of their releases, this one has done absolutely nothing for me after 2 listens. I only listened to Toni pre-release which I grew to really like. I didn't like Marauder for a few listens so hoping this one "clicks" at some point

 

Listened to the album and the only song I really like so far is Something Changed, really love the flute towards the end.

 

Been listening twice a day since Friday. This album is very good, but it’s a grower. It clicked with me yesterday.

I love the hell out of Marauder so I was sorta going into this new album expecting something along those lines. This one is a different vibe and listening experience, which probably why it took almost a week to click with me.

 

This album is pretty middle of the road for me. Excited to see them later this month regardless but more so to hear the El Pintor / Marauder stuff I've never seen live.
