I didn't expect to see that name today. I also remember her from many absolutepunk recommendation posts back in the day. RIP

Her brother posted that the autopsy was completed and there doesn't seem to be any indication of self harm or foul play. He said until more tests are completed, it's being determined as "natural causes." Apparently Cady had some health issues recently that they believe resurfaced. So fuckin sad... She had a new album coming out soon.

 

Wow, I just watched the Beasties doc this morning and they namedropped Kraftwerk, so I had a few of their albums queued up to listen to today. Weird coincidence.

 

Trans-Europe Express is pretty hypnotizing.

Just spun his The Rill Thing album after I heard the news, and shit if it's not an awesome soul record. Almost wouldn't know it's him other than the occasional signature "whooooo!"

Also, his first two albums are absolute staples. If you haven't heard them, get on that.

MISFITS Drummer Joey Image Reported Dead At 63

 

This one hurts. Joey was an incredibly nice guy who fell on very hard times. In 2018, he invited me into his home after I reached out and spent a couple of hours talking Misfits history with me. It was such a memorable experience I will always cherish. Rest In Peace, Joey.

Dream Street’s Chris Trousdale Dies From COVID-19 at 34

 

That is so sad. Dream Street was my favorite boyband while they were popular. I think Chris might have been my favorite member, too. Probably still have posters of them saved in a box somewhere.
