Been listening to them all morning. I know I said it before, but those first two records really give me early Death Cab vibes.

Well damn, they were incredible tonight. The True Love songs were so good live. Also the opener Molly Parden was great too. I had never heard of her before but I instantly became a fan!

 

"True Love" (the single) is unreal good, album has just continued to grow on me

 

These guys are fantastic where tf have I been?!

 

Very excited for Friday, have really been keeping my distance from these singles so the EP feels fresh

 

A Big Thief/Hovvdy tour would be amazing

As the sun comes out and it gets warmer, these guys (along with Alex G) is pretty much all I listen to

 

Ruby’s a slapper. Whole EP is great, these guys are just hyper aware of their strengths and drive it right down the middle every time

 

Yea this EP is great. They’re so good at making a consistent sound while also introducing new elements to keep things interesting.

 

am i dumb or is the ep not up on streaming

 

It’s kinda weird how they released Ruby as a single and put it out on the ep on the same day

 

Happy to see them get some more 4k love, but I would really argue against "Life is Good" being their "ethos". I'd also argue, as good as the EP (and this album) is, that the new wrinkles they're talking about have been there for a while, at least definitely on Heavy Lifter.

 

Yep. Review is solid, glad they're getting the attention they deserve, but as nostalgia-fueled and optimistic as they can be (especially on True Love), they've been playing with deeper lyrical content (and more experimental instrumentation) since Heavy Lifter.

 

Damn, I absolutely love this EP. I can’t stop listening to it
