What it looked like here in only 90% coverage as I stare down all the totality people bragging about their total eclipse

 

I mean Blood & Cheese isn't the full on heel turn for the blacks, it gives us a sneak preview that the sides are more morally ambiguous than the audience expects. The real full on heel turn moment is post-Rhaenyra taking the Iron Throne, becoming "Maegor with tits" by doing every single tyrannical thing that Otto predicted she would do in power in season 1, King's Landing collapsing under her mismanagement, and just the gradual revelation that she actually kind of sucks at being queen and was never suited to be a competent ruler to begin with. That (and the consequences that immediately follow that) is the moment the " I'm on Team Black!" people are going to fucking lose it harder than the Team Dany people did at the end of GOT lol <<<< major book/series endgame spoiler

 

haha true…though with everything so far being more…generous…to a certain someone than the book was, I think we’ll see even more clearly that some of those choices were driven by other events unfolding elsewhere

 

was never a Game of Thrones fan really but I've been watching this with my housemate and it's pretty good. Matt and Paddy are so good

 

I can't get over how half the dragons in this show sound like obscure medicines (Vermax, Syrax and Ceraxes?) and then the rest are called like Dreamfyre and Moondancer lmao. the contrast

iirc I think the basic backstory is some dragons get named after ancient Valyrian gods and some just named after their colors/personality/flight/etc

Hmmm… I wonder if that means we’re only getting rooks rest and battle of the gullet this season. I thought from the trailer that it looked like we were gonna get the Butchers Ball too but that would be 3 battles, unless they’re not counting that one as “major”. Or maybe they’re not counting Rooks Rest as a major battle since it was really just a dragon fight more or lessbook spoilers

 

Don’t want to read all that due to spoilers BUT were you expecting more big battles?

 

I thought after I saw the trailer that we were getting 3, but it’s possible that at least one of the ones I was thinking of isn’t considered a “big battle” due to reasons I won’t say haha. It would be a very mild spoiler/something you’d expect to happen this season, but still I like going in completely ignorant so I don’t want to ruin that for others who may be the same way

 

the fall of kings landing is the next big thing after gullet. So I think that’s the penultimate episode. And then the final episode is aemond and Cole riding to take harrenhall only to find it’s empty and the next season starts with the fall of kings landing.
