Started with their first album in the late 90's and followed them all the way though ironically did not love kings of pop but loved their ep they released afterwords, when it all comes day or something like that, I would love another record in that direction.

 

Ha definitely. New Year's Day's version is good but it'd be cool to hear a proper Adam sung version. I like that John took one of those unreleased songs, too, and repurposed it for his pretty solid Red Panda album, too.

 

Yeah the unreleased demos were all in that vein, the future was looking bright when they quit.

Were these demos post-Adam? I never heard them I don’t think.

 

No they were right at the end before he left. There's 5-6 floating around on YouTube and they're pretty much split between Adam and Johnny singing lead like on all their stuff.

They even played this one acoustically on some CA morning show right before they split up, probably would've been a single on their next release had they stayed together:

 

This is my favourite demo song and one of my favourite Homegrown songs in general.

 

right!!!! I only got to hear it once live when they did their tour with Allister. I almost got to see red panda once, but they were playing at some fancy night club that were strict on who they let in. It was for some event.

I played Kings of Pop on repeat when it came out. Classic.
