Wow. I discovered him fairly recently, but he’s still one of my favorites. Madvillainy is a masterpiece.

 

Still just wanting this to be one last trick by the villain named DOOM

All I want to do is listen to him for the rest of the night, but every time I hear a clip of him, I start to tear up again.

I can’t believe this. I don’t want to believe this.

 

I was VERY late to the DOOM train but man.... so fucking sad a talent like that has left this world

 

Doom was one of a handful of my favorite rappers ever and I really cannot think of a record that broadened my musical horizons more than Madvillainy. Gutted.

Man, just listened to Madvillainy and it’s hitting me. This feels so surreal. Dude was one of the all-time best lyricists, seriously.

 

Living off borrowed time, the clock ticks faster

 

Don't think a lot of people will ever realize just how influential DOOM was and will always continue to be. He was always so fucking unique and awesomely weird. The fact that he hasn't dropped an album in like a decade is making this even more hard to believe too, especially if it's been two months. (although it is pretty on brand for him lol)


I wonder if we'll ever find out what happened. I really, really hope it wasn't COVID.
