I think it's been a fantastic year for stuff that old heads love (i.e. Griselda, Roc Marciano, Gibbs, etc.). I've definitely had a lot harder of a time connecting to newer, more popular artists, but as I approach 30 I think that's just the name of the game at this point. I honestly had now clue just *how* popular Lil Baby is until fairly recently.

As far as R&B goes I loved that Gaaida record from a couple months ago, and keiyaA is gonna be high on my list.

I'm making a top 50 list, if I'm just doing hip hop or loosely related albums, I think I end up with:

    1. Nnamdi - Brat
    2. RAP Ferreira - Purple Moonlight Pages
    3. Joshua Virtue - Jackie's House
    4. Armand Hammer - Shrines
    5. Ruby Watson - Carry me
    6. MIKE - Weight of the World
    7. Redveil - Niagara
    8. Pink Siifu and Fly Anakin - FlySiifu's
    9. Spillage Village - Spilligion
    10. Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo

Probably a few more to listen to but that's more than likely my list

I’ll post my list tomorrow, i.e. the rap and r&b albums from my overal top 10. I haven’t really gotten into a lot of new music this year, which probably had more to do with my mood than the music.

I still have a lot of albums that I have to get to that I haven't yet but I'll try to make a list soon

Speaking of, got around to the Rico Nasty album and it's great. Nothing game changing but a perfect mix of her hard ass hype sound and some hyperpop influence. She's really gonna be a star

Here is my list. The ranking is only in case whoever makes the aggregate list needs a ranked list. My full top 10 (this one plus three albums from different genres) is unranked.

    1. Headie One - Gang
    2. Blu & Exile - Miles
    3. JoJo - Good To Know
    4. Benny The Butcher - Burden Of Proof
    5. Mariah Carey - The Rarities
    6. Brandy - B7
    7. Kehlani - It Was Good Until It Wasn’t

I missed a lot too but I still feel good about all these.

  25. For whatever reason I have probably listened to less new hip-hop this year than I have in like 8-9 years, so I appreciate y'all making lists in here. About all that's stuck with me this year I think are the Freddie Gibbs, RTJ and Lil Uzi Vert albums (probably forgetting something tho)
