Have you listened to the new Conway? I feel like it's one of the more accessible Griselda releases.

 

I haven’t gotten to that one yet. It’s not that I dislike any of it, but it’s definitely not a style I generally gravitate towards.

I'd recommend Dark Sky Paradise and I Decided too if you like that one

I'm loving all this attention on hip-hop Twitter that Lupe is getting with this debate on whether he or Kendrick is the better lyricist

I despise (Hip Hop) Twitter

 

I was mostly talking about Andrew Barber and the people he talks with honestly lol

 

I've never been wowed by anything Lupe has done. He may have skills, but Kendrick has everything. It's not even close.

 

Most topic related twitter is garbage. My particular dislike is football (proper football, not handegg) twitter. Just the worst people on earth.

 

I like Lupe’s first album more than anything Kendrick has made but I’m not a fan of either, though I was a Lupe fan around the time of that first album

 

What have you heard from Lupe?

 

Bits and pieces from each album. I normally give him a go whenever something new comes out, but he never really holds my interest beyond a couple of tracks.

 

Yeah, Lupe wasn't wrong, imo.

He deleted all of his tweets about it, but from what I remember his answer to the 'Lupe or Kendrick a better lyricist' question was literally "Lupe but..." and then he went on to say that he thought he was a better lyricist, but Kendrick was the better overall artist and makes better songs than him.

 

His first two albums and his last two albums, in my opinion, are all classics. Food & Liquor and The Cool are two of my all-time favorite hip-hop albums and then he managed to almost one-up those with both T&Y and DROGAS Waves.
