I think you'd have to go with Paid in Full or BDP's Criminal Minded or By Any Means Necessary.

Criminal Minded was one I was thinking of putting in the hat along with Radio and Paid In Full. Maybe round it off with He's The DJ I'm The Rapper and maybe Run DMCs debut.

He did that for free, that is only part of a longer video where he explains it. Apparently it was also used to raise money for some food charity.

T La Rocks debut album is not talked about enough IMO. Although I’m not sure it can really be included in the classic conversation/thread as he’s seemingly been forgotten by a lot of hip hop fans and not sure if a thread on him would get much traction. Shares a lot in common with LL’s debut too, it has a similar sound.

Definitely up there as one of the early classics of the genre. Would be interested to see he’d get more recognition if he hadn’t suffered a brain injury breaking up a fight.

I’m listening to Amine’s onepointfive and it’s still a good album.

I'm working on that list of my favourite 00s albums some of you wanted and it's got me rediscovering gems that I haven heard since the 00s. That alone makes it worth it.

24 years old. Damn. Definitely needs to be a classic thread for this somewhere down the line.

Also was listening to Big Willie Style yesterday. Would it be a stretch to put that in the classic bracket? Sure, it has poppy moments, but it’s a damn good album IMO.

Also found the cassette for it when cleaning up earlier!

To me, it deservers a thread based on its quality alone, but the fact that is a diamond selling rap album and one of the most successful rap albums of all time doesn’t hurt either.

BWS and LL’s Mr. Smith are two Trackmasters classics that just always put me in a great mood.

I don’t know how to actually word this but man everything Smino has been on has some parts of the song that are catchy as heck. I also love every single he has had the past few years so I’m excited for future stuff.
