Have we talked about how we deal with problematic artists for the album threads, even though they’re classics? Dre, Nas, and 2Pac come to mind...

I also think something like Goodie Mob Soul Food might be a good choice eventually? but like also fuck cee-lo green.

I'm happy talking about any of them, but I also understand if people can't look past the actions of the artists.

Might give it a little while for the concept to bed in before throwing them in the mix. Not like we have a lack of albums to talk about haha

The problem is, they are pretty damn essential. Of course we could still leave then out of people prefer that. Or we could put up disclaimers. Idk.

All for Digable Planets, De La Soul, Tribe, DOOM, or OutKast for the 90s album. Fuck Nas.

Edit: Black Star is also a good choice.

EDIT 2: Considering some women would be a good move. Missy Elliot and Lauryn Hill are some good options.

    I'd like to see UGK

Doing one album per decade is tough. There are so many subgenres and regional classics that deserve recognition

Yeah, Fugees and Black Star are also good choices. I’ll also throw Pharoah Monch’s Internal Affairs our there just bc it’s a personal favorite.

Internal Affairs is one of my favourite hip hop albums of all time. I think Pharoahe is one of the most underrated emcee's in rap. Every album he's done, whether is be solo or Organized Konfusion, bangs so hard.

Is there a household who doesn’t have The Score and/or The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill?

Right. So I'm gonna do the pick a name out a hat thing with 5 of the albums mentioned today. Couple of well known classics and a couple of lesser known classics. Everyone ok with me doing that?

That’s fine for now, but I think we should still try to not pick albums that have a similar sound several times in a row

Also dark horse candidate: Hardcore by Lil Kim. I think people would like it. There’s also a direct line there to artist that are huge now.

That would be cool. I’m not familiar with women in hip hop, except Cardi B and Nicki Minaj...

The line from Hardcore to Cardi and Nicki is definitely strong.

Foxy Brown - Il Na Na
    Trina - Diamond Princess
Lil Kim - The Naked Truth

    Absolute classics too.

Also Queen Latifah - All Hail The Queen is great and an 80s rap album we should add to the pile @PauLo
