But yeah I didn’t think you were firing shots, I was legit curious. I haven’t been listening to any new music since the start of the apocalypse, because I figured if this shit takes me out want the last thing I have listened to to be a classic lol

Not with internet rap fans though, he has the same fanbase as like NBA Youngboy and Lil Durk and shit I think

 

He’s one of those acts that just make me feel old. I’ve given him a couple of listens now and I just don’t get it. I’ve eased my stance on vocal effects in rap over the past year or so, but I still don’t get how the whole pop trap trend is so popular.

If you played a Polo G song to me and told me it was Roddy Ricch or Lil Baby or whoever, I wouldn’t even question it haha

 

Wishing for a Hero is a really cool song because it's also old head bait

Who are some of your favorite producers right now? Did a Madlib deep run a few weeks ago, now I’m finding myself playing a lot 2000s Neptune’s songs right now.

My most recent favorite producers were Mustard and the Justice League but I think they have peaked. Currently I’m not sure I have one. Statik Selektah has been on his 00s level again recently which is cool.

 

Mustard is great but he definitely peaked a few years ago. Kinda just coasts now
