My favorite Nelly story forever is when he went to a BLM rally in the wake of the Michael Brown murder in STL telling people they needed to make up a plan and people straight up went to social media asking why the hell Nelly was there in the first place.

I was curious how Polo G would follow Die a Legend, it's always uncertain if the young crew can consistently put out solid projects. But this is huge, raps are as tight as before and his hooks might be even better. Love the one on "Martin & Gina". So glad to have another batch of hits, his last one was really my favourite hip hop record of 2019.

 

New polo g is the best.

new future is pretty forgettable.

 

Beats on the future album are probably his best in years. But his rapping is leaving with a lot to desire, and the features are all the stand outs on first listen

Future album starts off really hot then once you get to the middle it’s pretty dull

 

I mean, that could be said about most Future projects. They're nearly always too long and outstay their welcome.

I dig the new Future album lol surprise surprise. Still need to peep the new Polo G, glad to hear it lives up to the quality of his last project.

 

I’m 6 deep into the new Future and it’s a shame that his raps just don’t cut it for me anymore because this is some of the best production he’s had since HNDRXX. Felt similarly about some of the guitar driven beats on SAVE ME.

 

There are a few tracks on the new Future I’m really digging, idk how much I’ll revisit the rest, bummer. Maybe will grow on me

 

He can still deliver on a closer though (assuming “Accepting My Flaws” is the end of the album proper and the other 5 are bonus, which is kinda how it feels)

 

The Future album is definitely too long and some of the songs just sound like he’s retreading old territory less effectively. He’s not doing anything new. I think if you cut like four or five songs off the whole thing it’d be a lot more enjoyable.

I will say listening to new Polo G right now and enjoying it a lot more on first listen.

 

Stunna 4 Vegas can’t really carry a project by himself but damn he’s constantly killing his features

 

Everyone dominates on “Go Stupid” but his verse is so hard

 

It's always been amusing to me that this site will let major hip-hop releases come and go with no fanfare but everyone is super into Polo G of all people lol

No offense to anyone of course, I still haven't heard much from him, he's on my list though

None right now, just in general. I didn't intend that post to be firing shots or anything, I'm genuinely ignorant to almost all of Polo G's catalogue so I was just saying it's kind of funny that such a random rapper is so huge here
