This is a good album. Finally some “throwback” East Coast rap with some fucking drums.

I guess surprise is warranted given Usher’s post-Confessions output, but I never stopped believing that he still had it in him, haha

How good was that last album of his? I think it was called Hard 2 Love or something

I don’t think I ever listened to that one, after years of horrible EDM songs I was too afraid

It had some gems, definitely a bit inconsistent but I thought it might be his strongest post-Confessions project overall (need to give the new one more time to sit with me). There’s actually one song on there called “Tell Me” that is a long slow burn that I’d consider pretty much an incredible R&B track... but nothing else on the album really reaches that level.

Well yeah that’s pre-Confessions though, they were all good, but Confessions is easily one of the best R&B albums of its decade (and the decade after it), which is why the post-Confessions slump felt so rough.

That’s a good song. Sounds like a Bobby Valentino song.

Oh wow I’m really looking forward to this album.

  13. Speaking of Usher, Climax remains one of the best songs of the decade, and that's that on that.

I do love Climax. I also enjoyed the new record a solid amount. Seems like its getting ripped to pieces on Twitter though.

After cancelling a show 15 years ago that I had tickets to, I finally got to see Ludacris live last night. What a blast!
His first 4 albums are near classics imo. Whole discography full of bangers.

    Newbie

Hello Im new to this community. Did anyone listenned to T.I. album Dime Trap? This is so average and disappointing after 4 years of work.

    I gave this a 6,5/10

    Mixing:

The mixing for some tracks are off. Especially on Laugh At Em or More and More. It sounds like a low quality recording. His voice track should be louder & clearer & the beat shoulda been toned down & less noisy. On the song Pray For me with YFN, the beat is so badly structured that you dont even get the feeling that there is a hook part on it.

Lyrics & Mic performance including his featuring:

His voice is unbearable on it, T.I. is recycling his old verses, he presents an energy on More & More and Laugh At Em that is missing throughout the whole album, he is slurring on most of his songs like he sounds like he's paralyzed in his mouth and half asleep. And I don't think it's "oh he's older now his voice is different". He's shown on tracks like Laugh At Em that he can spit fast and pronounce clearly without slurring and dragging his words.

YFN Lucci is the weakest featuring on the album. Meek did a phenomenal job. Yo Gotti overshadowed Tip on his own song. Young Thug made the song The Weekend sound better. Anderson .Paak is a great addition on At Least I Know.

The album is so poor there is not much to say on it.

T.I. has 3 more albums to release under Epic Records. The next one is called 30314 (atlanta zip code, I guess the Bankead one according to some fans).

I just heard this Lil Dicky x Chris Brown song and now have even less respect for both of them then I did before, which I didn't think was possible.
