I mean I get it but the Times music critics are usually better at writing/talking about rap records than most

This Milo album is everything this thread promised and more. I'm still on my first listen but he name checked Zadie Smith, Nabokov, Jay Z and Thelonious already so basically he reads and listens to the same shit I do?? So great

Is Black Ken a good starting point for Lil B?

Yeah, I guess he's just got so much material that the gems are probably a little more spread out rather than all on one release...

Just copped tickets to see Noname in November. Kinda broke right now, but I couldn't risk it selling out.

Ferg album was good but I also liked his last stuff. I think he's a talented dude who can rock a couple diff sounds but people only want Trap Lord ferg

For those of you with the occasional interest in non-English rap music, here are three song I like righ now and I feel could be interesting for some of you despite language barriers:

This currently one of the biggest songs (and the album it is from is killing too) in the Netherlands, where I live. I personally love it too and I feel like it can be enjoyed without understanding the language, because it's much more about the vibe than the lyrics. The again, I speak it, so I can't guarantee it. I feel like I would enjoy it in French too though, haha. The girl usually mostly sings in English (she's half American so it makes sense, but it's too bad because she shines in Dutch), in case anyone is interested in hearing more.

I also currently like this one, from Germany. It's by a newly formed group that includes Megaloh, one of my favorite German rappers. The point of the group is to celebrate the sounds of the African and Caribbean diaspora (which is a reoccurring thing in a lot of European rap and has been for a while, before it exploded in the US). Unlike some others, they are really good at it.

And then there is this guy, who's currently making big waves in Italian rap (which hasn't always been as commercially consistent as other scenes) and the Italian music industry. This isn't his newest song, but it's good.
