I'm not commenting on you as a person. I found a list of like 40 releases a little overwhelming. And wished someone else was added to a post that at the end you LITERALLY say "Feel free to add any others". I'm not paraphrasing there. You actually said that.

 

my issue is you jumping on things i put a lot of work into and not even attempting to engage with any of it, just pointing out what i did wrong. if you're surprised that that makes me upset then idk what to tell you.

 

I'm not jumping on shit. I subscribed to the fucking thread. I added a bunch of the shit in your OP to my listening list, despite the fact that I have very little idea how to process it. You're just assuming this persecution thing and I have no clue why.

 

read your posts!!!!! you havent mentioned you wanted to listen to anything, you hardly said anything at all besides the things i did wrong!!! im not trying to act persecuted i just dk why you cant be a little more positive about the things i put some work into im sorry if you're not trying to be negative about it but to me it seems like you are, you never responded to my, in my opinion, well reasoned post in the other thread so i didnt know what to think. im happy youve subbed and are going to check out some things i posted and im sorry again

 

Guys, I think it was a misunderstanding. I don't think @cshadows2887 was saying anything about the first post being bad or wrong or not engaging with it but maybe it came off that way by accident. I don't think there's any reason for this to be a fight.

I didn't respond to the post in the other thread because I'm legitimately underwater at work and in life right now, so I put a few things on my list and figured I'd listen to them and then make a more substantive post about it. And if it bothered you, you could have messaged me, dude.

I'm not looking to drag this on. I'm fulling intending to browse on both your huge lists. I hope you'll participate in the classic artist thing, too.

Saul Williams' Martyr Loser King is my favourite hip-hop release of the year so far, and this is my favourite track from it. I'd highly recommend it / him if you like highly lyrical, politically conscious hip-hop.
