Great shit out this week. Rawse, Smino, Step Bros

 

I heard a Thank Me Later-era song by Drake on the radio today and it made me remember how good he used to be, how much energy he exuded back in the day

Hopefully More Life is a return to form and pumps a little blood back into his veins

 

Thank Me Later is bad save a few tracks. It's his worst project in the So Far Gone - present stretch.

Views has more better songs but as an album I would agree.

 

But I think I like (a good chunk of) Views way more than most.

 

Except for a few tracks, I haven't liked anything since So Far Gone

 

I don't remember anything on Views, that album dragged and blended together

 

I go back to certain tracks from Views (namely Feel No Ways and Controlla) but I don't think I've listened to the whole thing since it released

 

I used to defend views, but I concede that I was wrong, and it's not good

 

I'm looking forward to More Life but I'm mainly cautious

I put on Stepbrothers Three and ok yeah that first song had me hooked. I'll have to check out more of the album tomorrow.

Are Rick Ross's albums worth diving into or is he more of a singles artist? Never heard a full album by him

 

I've only listened to three, but I really like God Forgives. The two after we're both enjoyable and fun throughout. I'd listen to more but I can't keep up, there's a lot of albums and mixtapes with a lot of tracks

 

I've always considered Rick Ross an rapper who has always been consistent with his releases.

also was listening to this Stepbrothers 3 and in Boomshakalaka one of them dropped a Wayne Gretzky reference. I want to keep this trend going.

 

Ross is definitly an album artist. A lot of them are really good."God Forgives.." is my favorite.

 

Every Rawse album besides Hood Billionaire and Port of Miami is at least pretty good. Absolutely check out his Rich Forever tape, my favorite thing he's done
