His first one from last year was great as was Indiana Jones which was after Super Tecmo Bowl imo but yeah I agree it’s too much. Making Your Old Droog blush

Saw a few mates say this was good, so gave it a listen. And what do you know? They were right! Incredibly fun lil record.

I think I linked you part 1 and they dropped a second ep for part 2 plus their last album is pretty good and it’s got some nice features.

Yeah I agree with this, I always like them whenever I get around to them but nothing ever sticks out to me like his Alchemist albums or Manger on McNichols do. For me personally, if he didn't do the full producer albums and just put beats by different producers on one album (basically putting together the best of those albums) I would personally be happier

I disagree with the negativity about Boldy, he's one of my favourite rappers right now. He's had lots of great projects since Super Tecmo Bo (e.g. Killing Nothing, Penalty of Leadership, Across the Tracks). I don't think he sounds bored, that's just his rapping style, similar to artists like Earl and I enjoy it personally. I wouldn't be opposed to him slowing down with his releases though, just so that I have more time to fully appreciate all of his projects as I will admit there's a couple that I've only listened to a handful of times as I literally can't keep up lmao

You can have a languid flow and still sound energised, he’s proven he can do that in the past. Plus look at Earl (like you said), Mike, Roc, Ka etc. They’re far from high energy, but still sound like they’re really putting at effort in.

Now, I’m only going by the one he released a couple of days ago, but Boldy sounded like he was rapping for a paycheck. Although a lot of that could be down to the average beats he was rapping over. He sounded much better over the Conductor Williams beats from last year.

Gonna have to agree to disagree on this one. As an example, this is off the new album and he sounds really energised on his verse imo

Just listened to the Redman album that came out on Christmas eve and it's really good! Flies past in no time, which is surprising considering it's a 32 track album. Helps that there's on 3 songs that are over 4 minutes long. Redman sounds pretty much exactly the same as he did at his peak too, which is pretty impressive considering the 30 years that have passed since his peak!
