mfw work is slow af and i still have over two hours left

 

I noticed every single telephone pole driving to work this morning..

 

I was out driving last night and there was some bag in the middle of the street and I have never been more terrified of something so innocuous in my life

 

A neighbor in my building had a hand-sewn doormat with the person's name on it so I immediately threw it out.

 

This is an underappreciated post.

 

I'm still checking the ceiling corners of every room I walk in. This might just become a lifelong thing for me

 

I really hope my sleep paralysis doesn't come back because of this. I've heard a couple things in the past year, but I haven't seen anything in 2 or 3 years now.

 

Hahaha I completely forgot that when I was going to bed last nightI made that clack sound or whatever you call it with my mouth in the dark, then immediately grabbed my dog and pulled him closer to me

 

I was really stoned a few hours after we watched it and kept doing the cluck sound subconsciously and my girlfriend wanted to kill me. I wasn't even intentionally trying to freak her out, it just kept happening without thinking lol

 

So I know it’s not a huge deal, but I’ve read a lot online saying she ate a cake with nuts in it, but I’ve also read the it was just the knife that was used to chop the walnuts was also used to slice the cake which makes more sense.

 

In Red Letter Media's video for it they show the edits of the knife cutting all the nuts and then the knife cutting the cake. It's really obvious when they lay it out like that. There would have been no reason to show the knife cutting up the nuts otherwise.

 

I think the most unbelievable thing about the whole movie is that they don't keep an EpiPen around Charlie at all times.

Throw one in your purse or in the car, come on.

 

Well they also bring up that Charlie wasn't suppose to be at the party and Tony's character pushed her there, it would make sense it wasn't planned and mistakes could be made. The brother wasn't exactly a boy scout.

 

ya I thought there were nuts in the cake too, but I had already made the assumption that she was gonna eat the nuts somehow as soon as I saw them being cut so when peter pointed the cake out to her I just figured they were in it. re: her head on the statue, my friend didn't notice it at all and when I told her she was like "no I don't think so" lol. she also couldn't watch a lot of it, halfway through she started looking up the wiki plot because she wanted to know what was coming up so she wouldn't freak out.

 

In the theater?? Gaaaassp.


Also can someone who rewatched answer that too? I know we discussed whether or not it was cross contaminated or packed with nuts and no one was sure. It looked like it to me but that could easily have been my eyes playing tricks based on assumptions.

the most unbelievable part was the way Peter's friends talked under the bleachers lol

"Did you guys SEE Bethany's status??"

 

They foreshadow it at the mom's funeral too when the mom asks if there are nuts in Charlie's chocolate and she says "good because we don't have the epipen with us". you would definitely think they'd be more on top of that lol.

 

also i thought it was crazy that Peter still smoked weed after the accident but maybe that's just me

 

I mean if it was a coping mechanism beforehand the accident might just make him lean on it more than before. Of course I also don’t buy into the “anti-weed PSA” thing that other people have seen it to be so that may affect my view of it. The fact that he was high was just one of many terrible things that went wrong and she still would have died if he was totally sober.

The lack of an epi-pen really sucked but maybe it showed some insight into how their family was already falling apart to some degree before the movie even began.

I'm primarily just talking shit to be funny. I didn't have any major, or even minor to be honest, issues with this movie.

 

It’s been a long time since I cared so deeply about a film so immediately that I wanted to dissect every bit of it. And usually when I’ve found one it’s way after the fact when no one else around me is into it. Watching Persona for the first time as a teenager and having no one to rant at was rough. Lol.

 

For sure. This is how I felt about Surf Ninjas.
