I just always tell myself that it's important to live my life, too. Went out for a friend's birthday and just stopped counting. I don't count on holidays with big family parties. If you make yourself miserable and deprive yourself of things that make you happy, you're bound to fail. So don't beat yourself up over it. Just get back in the swing. You got this.

Does anyone have the fitbit blaze? Wondering what the general opinion on it is? Thinking of getting one.

I was on vacation last week that turned into a food-cation. I was trying to make decent choices but after the 2nd day I stopped. Figured it was better to let it go and enjoy it then beat myself up over it.

Today was my 1st day back in the gym from the vacation and boy was that fun. Back to the grind!

Started week 7 of Couch To 5K this morning. It was the 25 minute jog. Once I hit the 25 minute mark, I felt pretty good and kept going for almost 4 extra minutes. All in all, in almost 29 minutes of straight jogging, I only hit 2.6 miles, which is a pretty slow pace, but I'm just ecstatic that I can even run that far without stopping. It definitely made me feel a lot better about my shitting eating weekend.

Unless you're looking to compete, there is no need to compare time and distance. As time goes on, your goals may change and that's also a good thing but the fact you went 4 minutes over your goal is a feat within itself, regardless of the pace. Congrats!

I ate almost my body weight in spaghetti and Oreos. I don't even feel bad about it which is unusual. I'll have to run a very long distance tomorrow if it ever stops raining.

Yeah, that's what everyone keeps telling me. It's just natural for me to think about it, and I know I need to stop.

What kind of oreos? You strike me as an original kind of girl, maybe double stuff. Maybe lemon?

My big problem is that if I have a good day calorie-wise, at the end I'll go "oh shit I have like 300 calories left" and then be less tough on myself in terms of whether I need a snack or not.

In the end, I'm still coming in below my calorie goal, so it's a dumb thing to be hard on myself about. But I'm also like "Did I need that popsicle? Is it worth the slightly slower weight loss pace than I could have had?"

Psychological minefield, this weight loss thing is.

Yeah Chris, I'm the same way. One thing I've done, which has helped, is that I've pretty much tried to not eat anything after dinner. On the weekends I definitely will, but the during the week I call it quits with dinner. At first it was tough because I've always been used to eating a snack before bed, but now it's gotten pretty easy.

Yes! Love those. My second favorite after lemon. I sort of like all these crazy flavored oreos they have out now though. I could never eat a whole package of them, but they're definitely fun to try.

If you're on the treadmill, throw a towel over the tracker or change the distance tracker to pace. That helps me forget about it altogether. Occasionally I'll "check in" to see how I'm doing but overall it helps.

I think I've tried almost all of them and they're all so good. I was disappointed in the red velvet ones bc they didn't taste like that at all.
