I wonder when the album was fully finished. We could still be like 6 months away from vinyl if it was recent.

    hmmm

I do too but in a much stronger way.

I prefer the moments on this when it's pushing the atmospheric side. I really like how intimate her vocals are, although it sounds to me like she's trying to force a deeper tone into her voice.

Inordinary is really good (she nails the storytelling on that song) but some of this is drifting into monotony for me. My Limb is the main melody idea that freshens it up and it's the second song on the record.

I am liking this way more than Petals for Armor so far. (That album did grow on me though) Much more immediate for me on first listen.

Petals really got me through last year. I think I might be a bigger fan of her solo career than Paramore at this point.

Candle is back in stock! But I can’t justify $40 on a candle after shipping and it’s making me so sad.

This is way more my thing than PFA. Though I understand why people love that record and that it probably seems underrated?

Petals did make my top ten for last year, but I do not return to the last third a ton. As others have said, this is way more in my lane and I feel, consistently fantastic.

Can’t say I’m immediately as over the moon about this as most of y’all, but I will say the entire back half of the record really hooked me in. It will be interesting revisiting this later in the day to see if maybe the front half didn’t land with me as much because it wasn’t what I was expecting. But man, there is some really cool atmosphere here. KYRH, Inordinary, No Use I Just Do, and Find Me Here are all so fucking good

this reminds me a lot of The Con which ik is one of Hayley's fav albums

specifically the way she uses the largely acoustic instrumentation and how the whole thing has a super warm feel while also including a kind of underlying darkness

For reference. I’m a casual observer of Paramore and Haley Williams.
Saw them on Warped Tour when they were touring All We Know is Falling, and pop in and out every few years to see what they are up to. I really loved the singles from the self titled and After Laughter. But this is just wowing me in a totally different way.

This is much more in line with what I thought would come from a Hayley solo album but as a companion piece to Petals then I really enjoy the dynamism of having both. Really well done to her.
