This album is pretty fucking good. I'm usually kinda turned off by albums without a ton of musical diversity, but the sparseness here doesn't bother me. I never really loved PFA, and this one on first listen is hitting me harder for sure

 

I really hope I get to see her perform a solo set one day

 

and I think this record has a ton of diversity throughout - the tempo changes happen appropriately - I don't think one song sounds a like.

 

this is only my first listen, but some songs definitely felt similar to me. I'm sure it'll change on more listens.

PfA took me a few listens to come around on, but this is immediate and amazing and heartbreaking.

 

I had no idea Hayley could play drums, I think it's so cool she recorded this whole thing herself. Whoever mastered this killed it, too. Sounds so good over my XM3s

Holy crap how did I not see the news of this earlier today?! I was about to go to sleep and I got a Spotify alert about new music from Hayley Williams. Clicked on it expecting a remix or something, not an entire new friggin' album!
