But for real I cannot stop listening to Graveyard.

I don't think this will make much sense to most people, but these songs almost give me an Ellie Goulding Halcyon vibe. It's not really that they sound like those songs, they just make me feel a similar way.

 

I’m unfamiliar with her mental health history, but calling her album Manic and marketing it as such doesn’t seem like a wise choice even if she experiences clinical depression and mood swings. There’s a difference between “owning it” and commodifying it.

 

She does have bipolar disorder, and the album is largely about coming to terms with that. The media also has had a field day with discussing her mental health and trying to analyze her, so I think it is a fitting title, imo.

 

The entire album was written while she was in a manic swing of her bipolar disorder, which is something she’s talked about at length for years. Definitely not marketing and more of a form of self acceptance.

I always have a soft spot for Halsey but like @Anna Acosta posted her work has just been very inconsistent but the Halsey songs that I love I really LOVE. hoping that this album turns out to be her best and most consistent work yet.

honestly, I like this one the most of what has been released from the album, super simple but really nice

 

Really like this one too. Parts of this really remind me of You and I, which is about the nicest thing I could say about a song.

 

Everyone's talking about Finally, but Suga's Inteelude goes HARD too. And then Halsey's little hook to tie it all together is beautiful.

 

Can't wait for this album. She just keeps getting better. My band, The Ivins - Nashville rock band - just recorded a cover of "Graveyard" if anyone is interested!
