I brought it up (not detailing the allegations because I thought BN were more popular than I expected though) on a pop centric forum and no one acknowledged my post, so that's likely

Yes, it generally means that they got paid in some capacity.

I checked out the writer credits for both 929 and Fork & Knife on ASCAP and SESAC repertories, respectively. None of the BN writers are credited for Halsey's song, so I'd guess they got paid a one-time, flat fee to let her use it. Kinda surprising, since it's used throughout the entire song

    it’s not 929 tho it’s Alanis Interlude

whoops, it's been a long day for my brain

I can't find Alanis' Interlude on any PRO databases for the life of me. But I'm not seeing it listed in the repertoire for any of the 4 BN writers. These aren't always accurate though, so who knows

I know that's the Fork and Knife drums on Alanis Interlude, but is that also a sample of the chorus piano later on in the song? Or am I just imagining it?

I can't imagine being in the headspace of performing and someone keeps taunting you while yelling your ex's name, she did what she had to

Ya I see no issues here in Halsted reaction the guy was obviously hoping to get a rise out of her and he succeeded. That’s on him

I do think it's kind of unfair that she put that whole section of the crowd on blast for something one person was doing, but yeah, that was a perfectly understandable response to the situation.

Yo, this song she did for the Birds Of Prey soundtrack is HEAVY AS FUCK. Makes sense that it was produced by BMTH.

I came here to say the same thing! I listened to it on Spotify's New Music Friday playlist and I thought I misread the artist name. All for this side of her.

Potentially her last tour for a while according to this and multiple other comments. I’d go see her this year if you’re on the fence!
