Missy Elliot and Jennifer Hudson come to mind immediately as plus sized women of color who very clearly did well in the mainstream without fully leaning into their weight as a means of promotion and/or success. I don't particularly think shes shattering that many barriers, plus sized celebrities of all gender/color have been thriving for years. I'm not putting down promoting self confidence or really attacking your response at all but this is more in response to being physically told by people that we have to like Lizzo bc of her weight. I don't buy into that.
