They’re doing five songs over three sets! I’m guessing they’ll do a new song sometime before midnight with the Dookie song(s) after midnight.

Sad to see a favorite band make things political for the first time just now.

 

My favorite part of any of the performances tonight was the guy air-drumming in the middle of a circle pit during "Welcome to Paradise."

Dilemma:

 

All the people who are mad at Green Day for changing "American Idiot" lyrics to reference MAGA are mad because "American Idiot" is about evil conservatives and the true MAGA lunatics don't see the movement that way, because they know no one takes conservatives seriously. That why it has to be special and why they have to pretend that being against them is "raging for the machine." It's a really funny delusion.

 

Their comment sections are insanely unhinged right now, these people have been so fucking poisoned by Trump/MAGA

How do they think they sound like normal people when accusing everyone who isn't a Trump supporter of being a trafficker

 

A: the fact that the original lyric was "redneck agenda" makes it even funnier that ANYONE would try to pull some kind of "Green Day went woke"

I can't believe the band that wrote a song about how dope it was to do drag in 1997 suddenly went woke.

 

I don’t actively keep up with Green Day but seeing them in the news + triggered conservatives sure does bring a smile to my face. Rolling American Idiot and what a god damn amazing album. Hasn’t aged a day. (for better and worse)
