"Dilemma," "Goodnight Adeline," and "Bobby Sox" are probably the only ones I'd put in the "really great songs" tier, but it's in that middle "these songs are good, I like them a lot!" category that the album keeps bringing me back. Most of the rest of the album fits into that box, and it's giving the whole thing a lot of replay value for me.

I still can't believe how good this album turned out to be, and it surprised me in the best way. After not being a fan of anything Green Day has released since 21st Century Breakdown (which was so-so anyways), I did not expect this, and it's renewed my excitement for this band. I can hear their newer sound in this, but they leaned into their foundational sound as well, which helped elevate these songs a ton.

I get they're on the press junket and all out promotion, but as a Brit, it's really disappointing that they'd do an interview with The S*n. Couldn't find a publication more polar opposite of the values the band stands for.

I also am unfortunately in the camp where Bobby Sox is one of the weaker ones for me. It’s fine but I haven’t replayed it since the first time I heard it.

Loving the rest of the album though and I agree about the flow being a little odd.

Another annoying thing is that I pre-ordered on iTunes, and the album is in three different Saviors albums in my library for some reason, but when I go to “show complete album”, I can’t play it there since I don’t have Apple Music currently. So I’m stuck cycling through the three albums lol

edit: Father to a Son is probably the next weakest song for me. Feel like it’s about 45 seconds too long.

As we saw with another big comeback record, the confounding phenomenon of people’s favorite/least-favorite tracks being so varied suggests that the album in question might be legitimately pretty good top to bottom.

Personally haven't really noticed the length of the song, but yesterday, in my car, my son said 'how long is this song?' when Father to a Son was playing.

I think it’s just one chorus too long, really. I don’t feel the length until that last one!

I think anyone that hates this album just has given up on Green Day since American Idiot and are only looking for negatives. Love this album.

This album has about six songs on it that if this was 25-30 years ago, you could release as like a third or fourth single a year after the album comes out and move another couple hundred thousand records.

Hell yeah! The fifth single that gets nominated for a Grammy the year after the first single won Song of the Year at the Grammys.

Watched a couple of YouTube reviews of the album, and they said aside from Dilemma, this was almost as bad as Father of All. Ummmm what the fuck? And it wasn't even the Needle Drop, who I'm absolutely expecting a 1 out of 10 from.

Lmao Hawkins reaction video for Bastard when he says "there isn't an original thought in this fucking song"

Despite his video titles, he still always tries to find positives though
