Just listened to Chronicles straight through. Better than I remembered but still mid at best GC album for me. I wish I gave it more of a chance in 2004 when it dropped though.

It does have two of my least favorite GC songs on the album.

I just wanna live isn’t terrible, but clearly was written as a radio single. It’s catchy enough. Ghost of you is just downright awful. Feel bad saying that because i know billy had a big part in writing that song.

I Just Wanna Live definitely did its job, can’t argue with the legacy

I Just Wanna Live and The Truth. I Just Wanna Live is way too poppy for me, much like Keep Your Hands Off My Girl. The Truth is just painfully boring.

Ghost Of You is eh but better than those 2 tracks. Not by much though.

I always liked the truth and joel’s vocal performance. Probably couldn’t pull that off today though lol.

Interesting. I like The Truth, it only because he sings his ass off.

I appreciate his vocals but it just bores me. I just keep waiting for it to end but it doesn’t haha.

Which of the bonus tracks do you prefer. It’s close for me, but id probably pick falling away from the life version. When i first bought the album when it came out, that was like one of the songs i listened to most.

Bonus tracks in general or for Chronicles?

For Chronicles it has to be Falling Away.

In general, The Click and Crash. But GC has a lot of good b sides.

    Specifically Chronicles.

If we are talking about in general, I love "Rise" and "Face The Strange."

I love the hidden track on Chronicles, “Wounded”. At least it was a hidden track on my CD.

    Face the Strange is amazing.

Always baffle dme why they never put that song on the album. It's probably their most catchiest song during that time/era.

I remember thinking that Mountain would be the direction of the band's sound after Chronicles. Boy, was I wrong lol. That song is so massive. Based on Spotify numbers, it's among the least listened to songs on the album, which is a shame.

what are people’s thoughts on the title track? Interesting that it was a single in the uk.

Same here. The numbers I glanced at this morning - I can't imagine it being wildly different on other streaming services.
